During the production and manufacturing stage of color box packaging printing, quality control should focus on four core aspects: material compliance, printing accuracy, process stability, and structural integrity. Even minor deviations in each step can affect the final quality.



Material cutting: Establishing a solid foundation of precision

Cutting is the primary step in production, and its accuracy directly affects the smoothness of subsequent processes. The key points for core control are as follows: Dimension error control: Utilizing high-precision cutting machines, we ensure that the deviation between the paperboard size and the design draft is no more than ±0.5mm, thereby avoiding the risk of misalignment during the forming process. Edge quality inspection: The cutting edges should be smooth, without frayed edges or indentations, to prevent cracking or non-adhesion issues when folding or applying adhesive. Material consistency verification: Verify that the material, thickness and color of the cutting materials are consistent with the sample, to prevent inconsistent appearance due to mixed batch usage.



Printing process: Ensure color accuracy and clarity

Printing is the core of the visual effect of the color box. The focus is on controlling the quality of colors and patterns to ensure that the presentation meets the standards:

Color calibration: Before each batch of printing, the printing machine is calibrated using color cards or samples to ensure that the CMYK four-color/spot color values are consistent with the confirmed samples, eliminating color deviations and color differences.

Pattern clarity: The printed patterns are free from blurring, double images, or omissions, and the text is clear and legible without any missing strokes or breaks.

Printing accuracy: When printing in multiple colors, each color plate is precisely aligned, with the printing error being ≤ 0.1mm. This ensures that the patterns do not shift and the color blending is uniform.



Surface treatment: Balancing aesthetics with durability

Surface treatments such as coating and foil stamping directly affect the appearance and durability of the color box. Therefore, the quality of details must be strictly controlled:

Lamination quality: After lamination, there should be no air bubbles, wrinkles, or delamination. The edges and corners should be smooth to prevent subsequent edge curling.

Gold/ Silver Embossing Effect: The embossed patterns are clear, without any missed embossing or ink smearing. The adhesion of the embossed layer meets the standards, and it does not fall off when lightly scraped.

UV process: The UV coating is uniform, without run-off or bubbles, and fully cured, preventing adhesion to other colored boxes.



Die-cutting and molding: Ensure structural integrity

Die-cutting and molding determine the structural stability and operational smoothness of the color box, and are the key to functional quality:

Die-cutting accuracy: After die-cutting, the shape of the cardboard is consistent with the design. The cuts are smooth without burrs, the creases are clear, and the folding angles are accurate without any cracking.

Viscose quality: The viscose is firmly bonded without any separation. The amount of viscose is moderate, preventing overflow and contamination or insufficient usage that leads to a loose structure.

Assembly inspection: The formed color box is square without any skew or deformation. The lid and bottom of the box open and close smoothly, and the fastening structure is firm without any looseness.
